CIEE’s 60-hour introduction to TEFL program is ideal for people looking to teach English in a country where a TEFL certification is not a hiring requirement. Usually when a school or government requires candidates to be TEFL certified, they will be looking for a certification that is at least 100 hours with a practicum included. If you are looking to teach in a country where a TEFL certification is required, we recommend considering our 150-hour certification, 180-hour certification or a Destination TEFL program. If you’re simply looking to gain some TEFL skills before heading into your classroom, this 60-hour program is for you! Once you complete the 60 hours of online coursework, you’ll be awarded a 60-hourTEFL certificate. You’ll get your certificate by both mail and email, so it’s easy to provide to you potential employers as you apply.
