The Destination
Welcome to Prague, a fairy-tale city with a modern buzz.
Prague is the Czech Republic’s capital and largest city where more than one thousand years of art history can be traced. Since the Middle Ages, Prague has been renowned as one of Europe’s most beautiful sites. Its location, right in the center of Europe, has made it a crossroads of creative ideas, attracting artists and great thinkers alike.
Set on both sides of the Vltava River, Prague is best known for its Historic Center with remarkable architecture—Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and even Cubist—as well as its medieval Astronomical Clock that puts on an animated show every hour. Here, in this UNESCO World Heritage site, the artistry of street performers, actors, musicians, and merchants thrives. Here, old meets new—Prague is a place where you can cross the iconic, medieval Charles Bridge to enjoy the traditional Czech rolled pastry trdelnik at one of the many modern cafés nearby.
