Our first few days in Dublin involve a series of walking tours to familiar students with the neighborhoods of Dublin. Additionally, our Irish program leader, Tony, imparted many fascinating and fun bits of knowledge about the city and its history and culture.
Each day, after breakfast, students start their online courses. For the first day's lesson, the professor guided students through the process of conducting social research. The class also reviewed Irish politics and government, which allowed students to engage in discussions surrounding the ways in which Ireland connects to the US. Students debriefed their lessons in small groups with each other.
Starting next week, students will begin their classes in-person at Griffith College, which is so exciting!
We ended the evening with dinner on the roof of our dorms and a movie in the social space.
