Oooh la la... it's the Concorde!
Toulouse is a popular destination in the south of France which attracts many tourists each year because of it's location, food, architecture, history, and friendly residents. It is also home to one of the largest aerospace and defense companies, Airbus. The students learned about the company and many of its planes, helicopters and military transports during a guided tour in the museum, Aéroscopia, on the Airbus property situated in Toulouse. Airbus is known internationally for designing, manufacturing and delivering commercial aircrafts, military transports, helicopters, satellites and launch vehicles. The company has sites all around the world. Each site designs and manufactures different parts. France is at the core of Airbus skills, technologies, innovation and production. As one of the company’s four founding countries, France hosts the company's headquarters; it has final assembly lines for all Airbus commercial aircraft families; is home to major production facilities for helicopter, space and defence activities; and includes locations for leading-edge research.
