Universiteit van Amsterdam, Business School (UvA) – AACSB
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) - AACSB
Business classes offered in English are available at both UvA and VU. Students must decide in which of the two institutions they prefer to enroll during the application and pre-departure process. Students must take 3 classes at their selected university. UvA students must take at least three UvA business or economics courses, and VU students must take at least two of their three host institution courses with the VU School of Business and Economics. Students at both institutions must also take at least two CIEE-administered class, which are not included on the host universities’ transcripts.
Dublin, Ireland (Arts & Sciences programs)
Dublin City University (DCU) -- AACSB
Trinity College Dublin (TCD) – EQUIS
University College Dublin (UCD) – AACSB, EQUIS
CIEE-administered elective classes-- “Irish Culture, Society, and Identity” and “Intercultural Communications and Leadership”--are not included on the DCU, TCD, nor UCD transcripts.
Lisbon, Portugal (Language & Culture)
Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e de Empresas – University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL) School of Business – AACSB
Business classes offered in English are available at ISCTE-IUL. Students are only allowed to take up to two classes at either ISCTE-IUL. Other classes are selected from CIEE or Universidade Nova de Lisboa, School of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH-UNL) The required Portuguese Language classes, as well as a large selection of area studies elective classes available to students, are CIEE-administered and are not included on the ISCTE-IUL nor FCSH-UNL transcripts.
Madrid, Spain (Liberal Arts; Engineering & Society)
Universidad Carlos II de Madrid (UC3M) -- AACSB
Engineering & Society students may take business classes at UC3M in English.
Liberal Arts program eligibility language requirement: 4 semesters of Spanish language study (or equivalent). Students must enroll in at least one class offered at UC3M in Spanish and are required to take one UC3M-administered Spanish language class. Additional electives are selected from UC3M or CIEE administered offerings.
For both programs: CIEE-administered classes are not reported on the UC3M transcript.
Santiago, Chile (Liberal Arts)
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC Chile) -- AACSB, EQUIS
Universidad de Chile, Facultad Economía y Negocios (UC FEN) -- AACSB
Related program eligibility language requirement: 4 semesters of Spanish language study (or equivalent).
Students are able to enroll in business classes offered at PUC Chile, UC FEN, or CIEE in Spanish. CIEE administered classes are not reported on the PUC Chile nor UC FEN transcripts.
Seoul, Korea (Arts & Sciences)
Yonsei University, School of Business (Yonsei) -- AACSB, EQUIS
Business classes are offered in English at Yonsei. The CIEE-administered class, “Intercultural Communications and Leadership”, is not included on the Yonsei transcript.
Singapore, Singapore (Arts & Sciences)
Singapore Management University (SMU), Lee Kong Chiang School of Business -- AACSB, EQUIS
Students enroll in either four SMU courses for 16 total credits, or three SMU courses plus the CIEE Intercultural Communication and Leadership course (not offered ever term) for 15 total credits, offered for specific terms at the discretion of the CIEE Curriculum Committee. Students may enroll in any 4-credit course from the SMU course offering and can choose to focus on an area of interest such as business, technology, or cultural studies and social sciences. The majority of SMU courses confer 1 SMU credit/ 4 U.S. semester credits each.
*SMU does not issue an official transcript to CIEE.
Sydney, Australia (Arts & Sciences)
University of New South Wales (UNSW) – AACSB, EQUIS
CIEE-administered classes are not included on the UNSW transcript.
Toulouse, France (Business & Culture)
Toulouse Business School (TBS) – AACSB, EQUIS
Students take 5-8 credits of business classes offered in English at TBS. Additional business and other content area classes are available to students, predominantly in French, at the Institut Catholique de Toulouse (ICT is not AACSB nor EQUIS-accredited), as well as CIEE-administered classes. The required CIEE-administered French language and CIEE elective classes are not transcripted by TBS, nor are ICT classes
