Budapest & Amsterdam: Global Health
CIEE Custom Program
Comparative studies allow students to critically analyze the healthcare systems in two European countries.
TWO CITIES; TWO APPROACHES TO HEALTH CARE
Students split their time between Budapest and Amsterdam, taking an in-depth look at the public healthcare systems within the historical, political, social and economic context in which they operate, and the specific healthcare challenges each country faces.
SEE HOW CULTURE INFLUENCES TECHNOLOGY
Guided tours of municipal buildings, community centers, and medical facilities give students insight into the infrastructure of each city’s healthcare system. Guest lectures by prominent healthcare leaders bring students up-to-date on medical technology in use and in development.
DISCOVER INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO GLOBAL HEALTH ISSUES
Alternative approaches to healthcare are introduced through site visits to thermal baths, rehab centers, and research institutes, while preventative care approaches are examined for all segments of society, from pediatric to geriatric.
This is an example program. All CIEE Faculty-Led & Custom Programs can be customized to meet your academic goals and financial requirements.
