Academics
The Virtual Global Internship program pairs you with a non-paying internship across a diverse set of industries and companies. During the program, you will receive coaching and support throughout the internship, additional workshops and a key motivator assessment. Together with the online course, you’ll explore best practices for resume writing, interview prep, time management, building an entrepreneurial mindset, and maintaining a global network.
This eight-week program includes an online internship and an integrated online academic course. The online course is a required part of enrolling in this program and must be completed to receive academic credit.
Course Information
In the course, Academic Internship in the Global Workplace, students will be challenged to question, reflect upon, and respond to the issues they observe and encounter in the internship setting and local host environment. The course allows students to focus on their assigned tasks and projects at the internship site, while engaging in online discussion, as well as readings and other assignments, that are necessary to receive academic credit for the internship.
Workshops
Virtual workshops compliment the internship experience by offering different perspectives on professional development and the changing world of work. Workshops will be facilitated by CIEE Staff and global experts during the internship period. Workshops are coordinated for each program duration, so speakers and topics are subject to change. Explore our previous workshop offerings below.
