Academics

All courses listed are being offered in all of our 4-week summer sessions. Your instructors, key members of the global CIEE team with a passion for teaching, will deliver learning objectives using a rich array of online teaching methods (including asynchronous instruction) and resources from CIEE host countries and communities. Full details will be provided to you in the final syllabus shortly before online learning begins.

GPA

Students need to have a GPA of at least 2.5 to participate in the program. Certain eligibility restrictions may apply and CIEE will advise as part of the early application process.

Language Prerequisites

There are no specific language requirements for this program.

Additional Requirements

Students must be currently enrolled in an Associate, Bachelor, or Master program and have completed a minimum of their first academic year of studies before the program. Participants are required to have access to a laptop/computer with audio capabilities. Participants are required to have reliable access to internet/WiFi.

Program Requirements

Students take one course per four-week session.

Note: Individual courses may have additional prerequisites; for CIEE courses, these are listed in the course descriptions linked below.  Students are responsible for having their own course approval conversations with their university advisors. “(GI)” denotes courses that originated at CIEE’s Global Institutes and that are offered at multiple Global Institutes and CIEE Sites. 

The value of the financial credit remains the same regardless of how many online courses a student takes during summer 2020. An application fee of $50 will be applied (if not already paid for your summer 2020 program).  If your institution requires a Tulane School of Record (SOR) transcript for your CIEE credits, CIEE can provide one for an additional fee of $500.
