The program details

Established in 2012, this intensive summer program is designed to prepare you to study at a Brazilian university. It includes intensive Portuguese language instruction at four levels, with an additional option for independent study for students with advanced or near-fluent Portuguese.

Core content is highly dynamic and interactive. It emphasizes cultural literacy, introducing students to exceptional artifacts of Brazilian culture. Students are placed according to their ability as determined by a written test and an oral proficiency interview. Through practical activities, lectures, auditory exercises, and analysis of texts, students make significant progress.

Courses are taught by nationally accredited faculty members with postgraduate degrees.

Students agree to speak only Portuguese to encourage language and cultural acquisition.
