College Study Abroad
Explore Havana, Cuba
The largest city in Cuba is also hub to the country’s political, cultural, and economic activities. Students enjoy a vibrant art, music, and dance scene in a city seemingly trapped in time, as it emerges with flare into the 21st century.
Study Tours & Cultural Excursions
Every CIEE semester program has frequent cultural excursions and a multi-day study tour uniquely designed to complement the program’s academics and enhance students’ cultural immersion. In Havana, past study tours and excursions have included:
- Attending festivals and holiday celebrations like Festival Internacional de Ballet de La Habana
- Historic, architectural, and other specialized tours of Havana
- Overnight trips to destinations like Pinar del Rio and the Valley of Viñales, Cienfuegos (an industrial city that offers a glimpse of life outside of tourist areas), and Santiago de Cuba
