Where Students Study

CIEE Valparaíso
Settled in downtown Valparaíso, CIEE Valparaíso offers students access to numerous opportunities. Explore the colonial city, a bohemian and colorful example of late 19th-century urban and architectural development in Latin America, and its modern sister city Viña Del Mar.

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV)
Ranked among the top regional universities in Chile, PUCV was designated pontifical by the Vatican in 2003. The University has campuses in Valparaíso and Viña del Mar and offers more than 50 undergraduate and 30 postgraduate degrees. Of its 15,000 students, 3% are international students, providing students total immersion in a Chilean academic environment. PUCV has a strong international program that offers Spanish and diverse content courses for international students.

Internships & Volunteering

Depending on their program of study and availability, students may be able to participate in an internship or volunteer. In Valparaíso, students can share their time helping with kids’ sports and recreational programs, helping the city with murals and interventions in neglected areas, and more.
