- Hiking and rappelling in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains to see scenic waterfalls and some of the more than 400 different creatures that live there
- Surfing lessons or trips to Australian football matches
- Guided tours up a sacred mountain in New South Wales, with an insightful Aboriginal guide, to stay in beachfront cabins surrounded by a stunning national park
- Excursions to the Australian bush to look for kangaroos, lizards, and wallabies, with insights from a naturalist
