How can the grants be used?Click to Open
The funds from the CIEE Access Grants can be used to help students, normally underrepresented in study abroad, with participation costs. For example, program scholarships, passport, visa, and travel costs. The funds are not intended for faculty to use for indirect program costs.
I already have a program planned. Am I eligible?Click to Open
Eligibility requires the faculty/institution to partner with CIEE on a study abroad program. The CIEE Faculty-Led & Custom Programs department handles all the logistics – from housing to guest lectures, co-curricular activities to health, safety, and security training. Specific requests can be accommodated. If you have your own connections and/or specific requests we would of course work to accommodate those, but for these grants it is required that CIEE fully assist with the program.
Do I need to submit a budget?Click to Open
You do not need to submit a budget with your proposal. We will work with you on that. If you have additional questions, please contact Craig Deforest, Associate Director, Faculty-Led & Custom Programs at firstname.lastname@example.org or (207) 553-4172.
