Lukas Kronawitter is an architect, planner, consultant, researcher and educator in multiple facets of sustainable urbanism. Lukas Kronawitter serves as the Director of Terreform One in Berlin as well as Academic Coordinator and Design Studio Professor with the CIEE Global Architecture and Design Program in Berlin. He is a visiting Instructor at the Technical University of Berlin Department for Sustainable Planning and Urban Design. Lukas has consulted on a range of international projects including Ecocity development in Tianjin, Chaohu, and Zhenjiang in P.R. China, and environmental impact assessment on the new decentralized energy transmission grid. As a researcher at the HafenCity University of Hamburg Department for Sustainable Urban and Infrastructure Planning, Lukas co-authored the book “Water Sensitive Urban Design” published by Jovis and at the Technical University of Munich, Department for Building Construction and Materials Science Lukas was awarded the German Chancellor Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for his work on life cycle optimization of recyclable building materials.
