Lara Dunwell

Biography

Lara Dunwell is the Director of the Cape Town Global Institute. Lara has held portfolios at the University of Cape Town in the field of international education since 2001. Most recently, she managed the semester study abroad program at UCT – the largest of its kind in South Africa – and in that role served as CIEE’s main partner for our popular Arts and Sciences program. Her work with US students and partner universities from around the world has strengthened “internationalization at home” efforts at UCT for South African students. Lara has a Master’s in English Language and Literature from UCT, and currently serves on the management council of the International Education Association of South Africa.
