Biography
Dr. Rosemary Blake Rose has many years’ experience working with US students in South Africa and abroad. Rose has a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Cape Town and a Masters in Medical Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh. The research for her PhD was conducted in a South African township and focused on the tensions leading to intergenerational conflict between close female kin (grandmothers, mothers, and granddaughters) around care and domesticity.
