Orientations

Orientation is delivered by CIEE staff in most countries. The orientation session gives you a chance to meet the people who will provide help and advice during your stay in the USA and to ask any questions. You'll get the scoop on important issues such as:

• Program Support Services
• Updates on employment trends
• Tips on finding work and housing
• General guidelines on making the most of your Work & Travel USA Program
• Tax details, banking, and your rights and obligations as an employee and tenant
• Immediate practical advice on: bus/train terminals, copy shops (for copying your documents), local transport systems and communications.

You will also receive:

• The information you need to apply for a Social Security Number. You can download the Social Security Application in the Downloads section of the site.
• SEVIS Information
• Handbooks and Orientation Materials Packet containing various important documents
