Entering the U.S - Collecting Your Bags

After passing through Immigration, you will go to the baggage claim area, where your bags will arrive on the carousel. Check the display board for your flight number. If you have waited a long time at Immigration, your bags may have already passed through and been placed on the floor of the baggage area.

If your bags have been damaged or lost, report this immediately to the airline and get a Property Irregularity Report, as you will need this for insurance purposes. If you know where you will be staying in the U.S., give this address or your employer's address so your bags can be delivered to you.
