You’ve arrived! There’s a lot to do when you get here, starting with U.S. Customs and getting through the airport! Don’t forget to let your employer and family back home know you’ve arrived. And make sure you bring enough money to get started and know where you’ll stay for your first night in the U.S. Remember that CIEE is here to support you during your time on the Work & Travel USA program. Welcome to the U.S.! Now what do you do?

CIEE is your legal sponsor once you are in the U.S., and we will be here to support you. If you have questions or problems of any kind during your Work & Travel USA program, call or email us. We’re here to help!

When you first enter the U.S. it is a good idea to contact your employer, during regular business hours, to let them know you have arrived and are traveling to your job. If your plane arrives late and you will not arrive as scheduled at your job, notify your employer of your new time. And don’t forget to call your parents or relatives back home so they know you have safely arrived in the U.S.
