Insurance Information

All CIEE sponsored Interns & Trainees are covered by an insurance policy as part of their program. You should have received a Confirmation of Insurance Form from your CIEE representative before traveling to the United States.

Please visit www.ciee.org/insurance if you are looking for any of the following:

• Locate a CIEE in-network doctor using our online search tool
• Download the CIEE Health & Safety pocket guide and a copy of your Insurance ID card
• Information about what is and what is not covered
• Information about insurance claims procedures

You should note that your insurance coverage is only valid between the dates printed on your Confirmation of Insurance Form. Please review this document thoroughly to understand the period of time you are covered. Insurance coverage begins on the Effective Date and coverage ends on the Termination Date listed on this form, or when you withdraw from the program or leave the United States, whichever is earlier. You should not be in the United States outside of your coverage dates.

You should note that the U.S. health care system is likely very different from the one in your home country. It is very important that you understand the insurance policy you have with CIEE.
