CIEE Trainee Program

Part of the J-1 visa category of the US government’s Exchange Visitor Program, the Trainee Program offers international students and young professionals from around the world the unique opportunity to gain valuable practical training experience in the US for up to 18 months. By participating in a program of practical training that relates to their specific field of study or chosen career path, Trainees are able to gain knowledge and skills that will promote their future career development.

The Trainee Program is a mutually rewarding experience for both Trainees and the companies that host them. Through structured on-the-job training, international students and young professionals learn useful American methodologies and professional techniques, while helping Host Companies to internationalize and diversify their workplace.
