Where in South Korea?: Teaching English at an elementary school in Yeongyang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea
Program: Teach in South Korea
Bio: My name is Evan R.B. Walker and I graduated in May of 2012 from High Point University in North Carolina, with a degree in English-Writing. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia USA. I am twenty two years old. I am teaching English at an elementary school in Yeongyang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea.
I had various ideas of what path to take when I graduated, with a strong desire to learn other languages and challenge my comfortable American lifestyle.
However, after some research and discussion I thought the best way for me to attain both objectives would be to teach English abroad, hence my decision was made.
My life will change in front of me as I begin my career teaching English as a Korean expatriate. I decided to teach English in South Korea because South Korea is becoming a leader in education and modern technology. People in South Korea are more connected globally than ever before and all of these factors are what led me to make the decision to teach English in Yeongyang, South Korea.
