Where in the DR? Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic
Amy's Bio: Hola! My name is Amy Magerman. I’m currently living in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic with a Dominican host family. I teach English courses at PUCMM, a prestigious university in Santiago. I’m here to experience the language, culture and lifestyle in the Dominican Republic as well as to contribute to the education of the future workforce of the Dominican Republic.
In college I studied Spanish, International Studies, French and Political Science. I have studied in both Beunos Aires, Argentina and Nice, France. My experiences abroad have made me the person I am today. Stepping outside one’s comfort zone is the only way to grow. I want to share my experiences to encourage others to push themselves to become global citizens.

Quick Bio Hola, my name is Molly and I'm a small-town girl from Central Illinois. I was recently hired as a professor for the PUCMM, a university located in the vibrant mountain-side town of Santiago. There´s nothing I love more than a good adventure and lots of sunshine, and I´m getting plenty of both here in the D.R. Hopefully this blog will give future travelers an insight into teaching abroad, while also helping me log my adventures and stay in touch with friends back home.

Quick Bio I am a 28 year old budding professional who came to teach at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra to: 1) start my teaching career in higher education, and 2) improve and polish my Spanish. I came here after completing a Master's degree in U.S. American Cultural Studies in Saint Louis, Missouri. I loved Saint Louis, but needed to take this step for professional and personal growth! I have grown a lot. Here, I've found many great friends and colleagues, and I am enjoying the life of a professional in the sunny D.R. (By the way, Santiago is the intellectual capital of the DR!)
