Last Seen in America: Living in Orlando FL, studying at the University of Central Florida
Where in China?: Beijing
Bio: I was born in Nashville, Tennessee, but don’t remember it, and haven’t been back since. As a kid I lived in Houston (twice), Birmingham, Atlanta, and a couple of other cities, before settling down in Orlando, FL.
I was a runner in high school, a history student in college, and lived out in California for a year afterwards, just to see what it was like. I love to travel, experience new things, and keep an open mind while learning about the world! If you read my blog, your IQ will most likely rise by 80 points, you’ll lose weight, and your wildest dreams will come true. In all seriousness though, I hope you can learn something through my experiences!

Where in China? Astride a camel in the Taklamakan desert on the way to Kashgar to buy saffron and other spices, before returning to Xi'an for an appointed photo-op with the Terra cotta warriors.
Bio: After graduating from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, I joined the average American work force.
It only took a few months to realize that my major in psychology and minor in Chinese were being underutilized. For someone who has conducted comparative learning research in the African Clawed Frog studying conditioned defensive behaviors, as well as traveled the Silk Road and mastered the art of ordering Chinese food in Chinese, it was only a matter of time before I realized the United States my be too small to contain me. Recalling my time spend in China as a junior made me see China was the place for me. I will now be returning to the land of smoking dragons, picturesque misty mountains, and daring sky scrappers to try my hand at teaching English.

Where in China? Jiaxing University (Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province)
Bio: Born and raised in New Jersey, I just graduated from Hamilton College with a concentration in Chinese and a minor in Creative Writing. I've been to China twice before (I studied in Beijing during the summer and fall of 2009, and studied in Beijing and Chengdu the following summer), but this will be the longest single period I've lived there. I'm anxious to see how my knowledge of Mandarin and past experiences in China affect my life in Jiaxing. I'm also passionate about music, reading and writing. I'd love to find some fellow musicians in China and maybe even start a band if I have enough free time!
