Program participants work in Spain under the supervision and guidance of classroom teachers and work 12 hours per week. Participants may agree to participate in or lead other activities outside of the 12 classroom hours,, including: faculty meetings, making presentations as an expert from North America, and participating in extra-curricular activities such as music, theater performances, sporting events, international day, English language club, and more. Your principle obligation is for 12 hours in the classroom, however, many participants have found very enriching activities and community involvement through their work in schools. You can search out and internship with a local business, volunteer for a local charity, or coach a local sports team!
