In the Dominican Republic, CIEE is partnering with the Secretaria de Educacion Superior, Ciencia, y Technologia (SEESCyT) to send teachers to teach for the Programa de Ingles de Inmersion para la Competicion. This government-sponsored program provides you the opportunity to teach English to Dominican university-age students. The program was conceived to help the students of the Dominican Republic gain a foothold in the global workforce. You will feel the satisfaction of taking students who have never studied English and watch them progress to a functioning level of English language during this English language immersion course. As the lead English teacher in the classroom, the skills you teach them for speaking, reading, writing, and listening will help their future work prospects and change their lives. You will be able to make a difference for these students who have not previously had the opportunity to study English in the Dominican Republic or abroad.
