What's Included by CIEE?
CIEE Teach Abroad programs select qualified individuals to become our teachers abroad and provide services for fees. We would do our research before paying to go abroad, and you should too! To choose a program that can help you work toward accomplishing your personal or professional goals, always consider what opportunities are available for the price, remembering that costs are not always financial. If getting a paid position overseas was a snap, everyone would do it. If you can make it happen on your own and you are comfortable with the risks involved in doing so, take the challenge! For those who have not taught overseas before or are simply looking for more advice, experience, and support, we look forward to working with you.
Ask yourself what it might cost to live overseas for a semester or year without a stipend or insurance. Add the cost of housing or the time and energy necessary to solve problems with little or no support and it becomes clear why people choose to teach English abroad with CIEE. Simply put, we are a program provider, not a recruiter.
CIEE provides your pre-departure school assignment and support, an in-country orientation program, and continued emergency support, insurance coverage, visa advice, a program handbook, and so much more! In a nutshell, your CIEE program fee covers many things related to preparing, training, and supporting your experience. We are your reference board and problem solvers should you need advice or assistance.
