program dates

The Teach in China programs allow you to choose from several durations, departure dates and workloads:

Teach in China

• 1 semester -   about 5 months beginning in late August

• 2 semesters - about 10 months beginning in late August
  (Chinese academic year) Note: return flight reimbursement!

• 1 semester -   about 5 months beginning in early to mid-February

• 2 semesters - about 11–12 months beginning in early to mid-February
  (includes a 2-month break between academic years) Note: return flight reimbursement!

Teach in China-Professional

• 2 semesters - beginning in August Note: airfare reimbursement, round-trip for experienced teachers

• 2 semesters - beginning in February (includes a 2-month break between academic years) Note: airfare reimbursement, round-trip for experienced teachers

Note to spring graduates: Due to visa regulations, a copy of your diploma must be available to CIEE by early June to be eligible for the August program departure.

Note: Processing contracts and work visa papers can sometimes run into the last week before departure, especially for the February departure. Rest assured that CIEE staff both in China and in the U.S. are working to finish the process to get you legal and convenient entrance into China. Consider this your introduction to Chinese time!
