CIEE Teach in China participants enjoy a comfortable standard of living while working in China. The salary may not seem particularly high by Western terms, but it is generous in local terms-about twice what local teachers earn!
* Host institutions provide furnished accommodations that are compliant with Western expectations. Rent-free living combined with the reasonable cost of living in China allow earnings to go a long way.
** Generally, participants are able to save some of their wages allowing them to travel both during their teaching contract and after their teaching assignment in China.
