CIEE Teach in Chile participants earn a stipend of 300,000 – 335,000 pesos per month (see www.xe.com for exchange rates). While this wage is generous for a half time position, you will need to be mindful of your expenses. However, you should be able to afford the basics without having to look for bargains, and have some cash left over for fun. If you want to travel or go to nice restaurants, though, you’ll need additional funds.
