You’re back home and perhaps looking for your next step. While you write those cover letters and start waiting for the job offers to come in, why not spend your time sharing your experience with those around you? You can gain real-world experience in the states while looking for that next career step, while adding to your resume portfolio, and sharing your story with others!

Why not…

  • Write or create a multi-media feature your for local newspaper, a travel magazine such as Glimpse or Café Abroad, or participate on a travel website such as Lonely Planet.

  • Go back to your university and become involved in events hosted by their international office or talk to your old Political Science or Spanish professor and offer to speak to a class about your experience abroad - you have the teaching skills now and a unique story to tell!

  • Volunteer at a local school or library, coach a sports team, or lead a youth group - keeping the skills you learned while teaching abroad fresh.
