CIEE Spring 2008 Photo Contest
CIEE is thrilled to share the results of our most recent photo contest.
We received wonderful entries this cycle, so the decision was tough! All of the photos entered displayed an amazing range of experiences and adventures that students on CIEE programs get to enjoy. The quality of the photos and the breadth of subject matter truly made this year a very hard year to judge. We now have TWO categories for the participant photo contest, Student Interaction and most Artistic Image.
Our first category includes a first, second, and third place winner for creative and inspiring photos that show Student Interaction with the host community; where they lived and studied—their dorm, homestay, campus, and classrooms; and their travels. Our second category includes one overall winner for the most Artistic Image from among the photos that were submitted. Click here to view the winner and honorable mentions.

As part of the Development Studies Track internship, I taught 6th grade at Calvary Academy in Accra, Ghana. It was an amazing opportunity and I learned a great deal about teaching in a unique cultural context. This experience completely changed my future goals, and I now plan to ultimately work in improving education in West Africa.
