Belfast: it’s the capital and largest city in Northern Ireland, and it could be your home for a semester or year if you choose to study society, conflict, and peace with CIEE! While studying abroad in this vibrant European city, you’ll get a glimpse into what it must have been like to endure the 30-year period of disruption, conflict, and destruction knows as the “Troubles.” And you’ll immerse yourself in the local culture with visits to Carrickfergus Castle, the Northern Ireland Assembly, and political tours of the Bogside District of Derry and Londonderry, and West and East Belfast.
