There are two locations in Williamsburg where you'll have an opportunity to work this winter. These busy restaurants are located in one of the Unites States oldest cities, Williamsburg. Williamsburg is rich in American history and celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2007. Williamsburg is home to nearby William and Mary College, so there are many places for students to entertain themselves away from work.

Work & Travel Opportunities
Students will work at one of the two locations in Williamsburg. Jobs are available the end of November through April. Positions include: Server, Host/Hostess, Combo (Busser) and Cook. The restaurants are also close to amusement parks such as Busch Gardens and Paramount Kings Dominion. With Washington, DC and Virginia Beach nearby, day trips to these areas will be very easy and inexpensive! For those students interested in second jobs, you'll find they are plentiful near the restaurant. There are many other restaurants, hotels, and retail stores looking for additional staff during the winter season.

Compensation Package
Servers are paid a wage of $2.13 per hour plus tips. It is customary in the U.S. to tip between 15-20% of the total bill to the server. This is not a guarantee and tips are earned based on your performance as a server. Cooks are paid a wage of $8.00 per hour; the Host/Hostess and the Combo position both pay $7.25 per hour. Overtime is paid to those employees who work in excess of 40 hours in one week. Employees are permitted to eat during their shift for a cost of $3.00, which will be deducted directly from payroll.
