Crater Lake National Park Lodges

Work at one of America’s crown jewels, established in 1902. Crater Lake has inspired people for hundreds of years. No place else on earth combines such a deep pure lake, so blue in color, sheer surrounding two thousand feet high cliffs, a picturesque island, dense Ponderosa Pine forest, and a violent volcanic past. We employ about 240 people and house 230 (mostly students) in the Park itself. We operate an historic lodge, cabins, a campground, camper store, three restaurants, two retail shops, and boat tours on Crater Lake. We are visited by a half million guests each year.

Work and Travel Opportunities
Jobs are available the beginning of May through mid October. Positions are; Retail, Food & Beverage, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Laundry Maintenance, Warehouse, Accounting, Personnel, and Campground.

Living at Crater Lake gives you free access to some of the best hiking, biking, camping, photography, wildlife viewing, bird watching in the world! While the average visitor only has a few hours or days to spend in a national park, you have several months. Take full advantage of this amazing opportunity! We encourage our staff to get out and explore the park, the national forests around us and the surrounding areas. We believe that if you come to love this place, that love will be obvious when interacting with our guests. Knowing these things, we hire a dedicated recreation coordinator to help introduce you to your new backyard! We have a number of resources for you to use; books, tents, etc...

Compensation Package
Entry-level positions start at $8.40/hour. Overtime is paid at time and a half for any hours worked over 40 in one week. Overtime is generally available during the properties opening and closing but is not guaranteed.

Employees are offered meals through our employee dining room. Three meals are provided every day. Our menu offers a wide variety of hot entrees, salad bar, beverages and fresh fruit. Because the Employee Dining Room serves so many people a day, it is difficult to accommodate restricted or vegetarian diets.
