Busch Gardens and Adventure Island
Housing is pre-arranged for you by Busch Gardens Tampa at a facility called The Edge which is walking distance to the University of South Florida, a major university serving over 45,000 students with educational, recreational and cultural activities. The rooms not used by Busch Gardens International students typically house local university students, so this is another great way to meet and interact with new people, make friendships and get involved in activities.
The cost is only $98.00 per student per week and includes:
- Free transportation to and from work at Busch Gardens/Adventure Island
- Five meals per week meal plan
- Computer lab and free in-room internet access
- All utilities, such as electric and water
Rooms are furnished and are set-up as suites with two bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Two students share each bedroom. Four are in each suite. Individuals of the same sex may not share a suite or room. The housing facility is a former university dorm and has many amenities including:
- Security guard
- Limited access for security/24 hour access to housing staff members
- Swimming pool
- Exercise facilities/indoor basketball court
- Game/Billiards room/flat screen TV in common area
- Air conditioning
- Linens/Laundry facilities
- 24 hour study lounge
- A full calendar of activities for The Edge residents!
A housing deposit of $200.00 per student is required and must be sent as a wire transfer before arrival. Deposits are refundable if all conditions are met including: 1) students must complete work agreement dates, 2) housing costs must have been paid in full prior to departure, and 3) there can be no damage to the room or building.
