Rustico/La Piazza Ristorante

Inspired by the beautiful town squares throughout Italy, Paolo and wife Carmela opened La Piazza on December 20, of 1998, in Mountain Village, Colorado, as a meeting place for stylish authentic Italian dining, relaxation, and special events. Our resort location is ski-in, golf-in, a spectacular gondola up from Telluride, or a slow stroll from your lodge. La Piazza's history is defined by two sets of individuals. The first set is the artisans that have dedicated their time and energy to its purpose. People such as Piero Carusi, Luca Ramponi, Stefano Canclini, and the many long term and seasonal staff whose spirit of service and commitment have created La Piazza, a true ambassador of fine Italian wine and foods. Secondly, and of most importance, our history is defined by those whom we have served.

Work and Travel Opportunities
Jobs are available the beginning of December through April. Positions include: Food & Beverage positions such as wait staff, food runners, host/hostess, and dishwasher. Living and working for these two restaurants gives you access to the best hiking and skiing in the world! While the average visitor only has a few hours or days to spend at our resort, you have several months. Take full advantage of this amazing opportunity! We encourage our staff to get out and explore the resort and the surrounding areas. We believe that if you come to love this place, that love will be obvious when interacting with our guests.

Compensation Package
Students will be hired as “Food and Beverage” and will be trained and assigned positions based on their skill level and ability to learn quickly. Salaries will range from $3.83 plus tips, for those positions that offer tips, to host/hostess at $6.85 per hour, and dishwasher at $7.00 per hour. Our hourly, non-tip, positions will have many opportunities to work overtime hours. This will allow the students to make extra earnings. We also provide students with a free meal each day they work and a 30% discount on all food items on days they are not working.
