LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels is a portfolio of independent properties dedicated to creating an experience of luxury, a sense of ease, and endless pleasure. A new collection launched in 2005 and comprised of more than 30 of America’s best-loved resorts and hotels, LXR properties are distinguished by a style and spirit that captures the unique qualities of their setting.

The Casa Marina is a historic property, built by Henry Flagler, and first opened on New Year’s eve 1920. The entire property is newly renovated with 311 deluxe guest rooms. The Reach Resort is two blocks away and has the only natural beach on the island. 150 guest rooms, this property has also just been renovated. Both resorts are situated on the Atlantic Ocean with breathtaking views.

Key West is the last of a series of islands connected to the Florida mainland by 126 miles of bridges and roadway - a small island (approximately 2 mi X 4 mi), with a population of 25,500. Tropical and the only “Caribbean” island in the United States – watersports are the primary attraction.

Work & Travel Opportunities
Jobs are available the beginning of December through April. Positions include: Food & Beverage (both service and food preparation), Maintenance, and Housekeeping.

Compensation Package
Entry-level positions start at $8.50 an hour, tipped positions start at $3.65. Food and Beverage/Housekeeping/Bell stand/Engineering/Guest Services positions available and will vary throughout time period. Overtime is paid at time and a half for any hours worked over 40 in one week. Employees are offered mid-day and evening meals (one per shift worked) through our employee dining room, at a cost of $3.00. Uniforms are provided, but are maintained by the employee. Appropriate footwear is the responsibility of the employee.
