Mission Point Resort

You will need to carefully plan your trip to Mackinac Island. We recommend the following:

Fly into Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW)
Travel to downtown Detroit and go to the Greyhound station
Get a bus from Detroit to St Ignace – about 10 hours – estimated cost $50 to $60
Meet Mission Point Resort staff in St. Ignace at designated time

Bus from Detroit to St. Ignace - Please note that you will need to be at Detroit Greyhound station by approximately 10:30am in order to catch the bus to St. Ignace. This means you should plan for your flight to arrive in Detroit by 9:00am at the latest. If this is not possible, you should arrive in Detroit the day before you plan to travel to St. Ignace.

Ferry from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island - You will arrive in St Ignace too late to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. You should make arrangements to stay in a hotel on the night you arrive, and plan to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island the next day.

Full instructions will be given after a job offer is made. Mission Point Resort staff will meet you in St. Ignace to accompany you on the ferry ride to Mackinac Island. The time and exact location to meet will be arranged in advance. It is recommended that you travel with friends to keep the cost of your overnight stays before arrival on Mackinac Island to a minimum.
