We hope you’re having an enjoyable summer. With the fall semester beginning in the coming weeks, we want to make sure you have everything you need to advise on 2008 CIEE programs.

Order New 2008 CIEE Brochures
If you haven't already placed your order, click here to download an order form for 2008 CIEE brochures and fax your order to 207.553.7699. Remember, we can't send catalogs unless we receive an order from you, so please do so today!

CIEE Study Center Catalogs: New CIEE Study Center catalogs for 2008 (Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall) are now available for download and will begin shipping in the next few weeks.

Advisor Manuals: If you would like to receive a 2008 Advisor Manual (set of 3-hole punched catalogs for your CIEE advising binder), please indicate the number of copies you require on the form. If you need a new binder, please also indicate the quantity on the order form. And remember, the one-page advising sheets for each program that used to appear in the printed Advisor Manual can now be viewed on our website. For a sample Quick Facts advising sheet, please click here.

Knowledge: This is also the time to order copies of the Knowledge series (health, parents, safety, women, return, risks, food, identity, disability). Download an order form or view more information on our website here. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for future topics, please send an e-mail to knowledge@ciee.org or call us at 1.800.40.STUDY.

Panorama: The redesigned Panorama provides a brief overview of all 104 CIEE Study Center programs. It also includes general CIEE information about on-site staff, scholarships, and more.

Concentration Brochures: Concentration brochures highlight specific subject areas. New additions to the series this year include Arts and Communications. The first three brochures in the series included Science, Business, and Internships.

CIEE Study Centers: What's New, What's Different
The What's New, What's Different document outlines all significant program changes at CIEE Study Centers for 2008. This should help you quickly identify those changes that will impact your students. Click here to download this document.

Program Fees and Cost Breakdowns
CIEE Study Center fees for Winter, Spring, and Calendar Year 2008 have been posted on our website and are available within each Study Center program description. Comprehensive fee sheet and cost breakdown documents are also available for you to download.

CIEE Annual Conference
Online registration for the 2007 CIEE Conference is now open at www.ciee.org/conference. We hope you can join us in Toronto, Canada this November to reflect upon where study abroad has been and where it’s going. Be sure to register now to receive the early bird rate. For complete information about conference plenary speeches, sessions, and workshops, please click here.

CIEE is Moving!
You’ll be receiving notification in the mail in the near future, but we wanted to let you know that we’re moving to a new building in September. Effective September 17, our Boston and Portland offices will be together at 300 Fore Street, Portland, ME, 04101. Click on the We’re Moving symbol here to learn more. Detailed staff contact lists and additional information will be available in early September.

iNext Travel Card
As many of you know, CIEE recently began offering the iNext travel and insurance card. The iNext card offers students a host of insurance coverage, from accident, sickness, and hospital to baggage and document. A 24-hour hotline provides students assistance with emergency and everyday needs, such as medical and travel questions or concerns. Please visit www.inext.com to learn more. If you have specific questions, please call Amy Dwyer, Manager, iNext, at 1.207.553.7619 or e-mail her at adwyer@ciee.org.

Passport Update
According to the U.S. State Department, routine processing for passports may take as long as ten to twelve weeks. This is due to the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, a law requiring airline passengers entering the U.S. from within the Western Hemisphere to possess a valid passport.

It has taken many of our students twelve weeks or more to get a new passport. Spring 2008 students need to have their passports by early November in order to apply for a visa. CIEE strongly recommends that they expedite their passport applications. Please remember that passports must be valid for at least six months after the end date of their program.
