CIEE Positions Available
CIEE Study Center in Alcalá de Henares, Spain
The CIEE Study Center in Alcalá de Henares serves U.S. university students at the high intermediate to advanced level Spanish language. CIEE is seeking a qualified Resident Director to oversee all aspects of the fall and spring semester programs; relations with the host university; staff hiring and supervision; student welfare; finances; and organizing the extra-curricular program. The Resident Director must live in the Alcalá de Henares vicinity.

Admissions Officer, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, Campus Relations
The Admissions Officer (AO), based in the CIEE Portland office, has primary responsibility for managing relations with schools sending students on CIEE Study Center programs in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East as well as a number of other institutions within an account management program.

Study Abroad Scholarships Available
CIEE Department of Education Scholarships - China
CIEE is pleased to announce that the Department of Education - Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad (GPA) approved our grant to provide scholarships for advanced Chinese learners. We have sustained this scholarship program for over 15 years with the support of the Department of Education and are grateful to see that the DOE continues to value and support our efforts to provide extra financial support to CIEE program participants studying in China and Taiwan.
 
These scholarships are awarded to highly qualified students with at least two years advanced Chinese language training, a strong academic record, the perceived ability to reflect on and use their personal experiences during their study abroad experience, to gain expertise in the Chinese language and culture, and an intention to pursue advanced studies and careers related to China in the areas of academia or public affairs.

CIEE Senegal Participant Writes for the Associated Press
A participant at the CIEE Study Center in Dakar, Senegal, Cassie Vinograd of Northwestern University, is interning with the Associated Press (AP). She arranged the internship independently and one of her stories was recently published in the New York Times, Miami Herald, Google News, and Yahoo News, as well as a few local papers in Dakar.
