CIEE Annual Conference in Toronto, Canada
The deadline for proposing a session for the CIEE Annual Conference in Toronto is coming fast – February 1. This year’s theme, Challenging Assumptions: Evaluating Study Abroad’s Past, Fashioning its Future, is the perfect opportunity to reflect on where international education has been, where it is now, and where it’s going.
The conference will address such issues as the impact of students on a host community, training for professionals in the field, and pre- and post-departure orientation for students.

CIEE International Faculty Development Seminars
Not just for faculty, international educators are strongly encouraged to join CIEE on a short-term, intensive seminar this summer. Each program features lectures, site visits, and discussions with overseas academics and colleagues. Participants return to campus poised to incorporate an international dimension into their work.

CIEE Study Center in Sydney, Australia: Studio Arts
Do you have a student who is interested in studio arts? Consider referring them to the new CIEE Studio Arts Program at Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney. Designed to provide students with a challenging academic experience in the area of visual arts, they’ll study with practicing artists who lead studio and theory courses at the capital’s leading university. Your students can work with glass, ceramics, jewelry and object design, painting, photo media, print media, electronic and temporal arts, and sculpture.

CIEE Summer Programs
Are some of your students not able to study abroad for a semester or year? CIEE offers 21 summer programs, which run from two to eight weeks to fit any summer schedule.
New this summer are programs in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Brussels, Belgium, Dublin, Ireland, and Siem Reap, Cambodia. The three-week Amsterdam and Dublin programs each feature one CIEE core course, History and Culture of Modern Ireland in Dublin, and Contemporary Dutch Social Policy in Amsterdam. In Brussels, students enroll directly in two courses at Vesalius College in the business, communications, and international relations faculties; they also have the option of participating in an internship. In Siem Reap, students take two content courses, Cambodian History and Culture and Nation-Building in Cambodia after the Khmer Rouge Genocide.
Visit a CIEE Study Center this Spring
