CIEE Study Centers
Summer/Fall 2005 Bulletin
The Summer/Fall 2005 Bulletin, an update to the CIEE Study Center catalogs, is now available for download in our Publications Center.
The Bulletin outlines changes to summer and fall 2005 CIEE Study Center programs since the publication of the 2005-2006 Study Center catalogs. The Bulletin, in addition to the catalogs, constitutes the CIEE study abroad offerings for summer and fall 2005. The individual program descriptions on the website have been updated to reflect the changes outlined in the Bulletin.
As always, if you’re in need of additional catalogs for the spring, please download the order form here or place an order online. We’ll get them right out to you!

CIEE and Participants with Disabilities
CIEE has long been involved with Mobility International USA and other organizations to increase study abroad participation for students with disabilities. At the CIEE Annual Conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico last November, Michele Scheib, MIUSA Project Initiatives Specialist, Marisa Saldana, a past CIEE participant, Jan Gothard, CIEE Regional Director in Australia, and Ines de Romaña, from the University of California EAP presented at the session: Looking through a Different Lens: Short and Long Term Impact on Alumni with Disabilities.
Michele’s part of the presentation focused on the findings of a 2004 statistical survey conducted by IIE surrounding participants with disabilities in education abroad. As you’ll learn when you read the article here, the good news is that the number of participants with disabilities studying abroad is increasing. The second part of Michele’s report is excerpts from interviews with past CIEE participants. The focus of the interviews, in line with the CIEE conference theme, was the impact of the study abroad experience on their lives and careers. We believe you’ll find the article encouraging, we certainly did.
