IFDS Alumni Scholarships

Background
Twenty years ago, CIEE began offering International Faculty Development Seminars (IFDS) as a resource for colleges and universities looking to internationalize on an institution-wide basis by including programs abroad for faculty and administrators. While CIEE strives to provide an academically rigorous and enlightening seminar experience, it is the work of alumni post-seminar that makes IFDS an effective internationalization tool. The IFDS Alumni Scholarship is meant to acknowledge and reward those alumni who have excelled at making the most of their seminar experience and have influenced their academic communities in depth and breadth. If awarded, recipients must submit a follow-up report with documentation of the outcome of their seminar.

Scholarship Information
CIEE is offering two $2000 alumni scholarships for summer 2013 IFDS. These scholarships recognize alumni who have attended at least one previous faculty seminar and who have successfully incorporated those seminar experiences into their classrooms or institutions at large. Scholarship awards are applied to the applicant’s program fee. As the awards do not cover the full cost of seminar participation, applicants are advised to seek additional funding from other sources. Alumni scholarship application deadline: February 1st, 2013
