You will be placed with a host family within commuting distance from the location where students will take classes. The host family environment is ideal for practicing language and learning first-hand about French culture. Families take pride in sharing their daily life with American students, and in turn learning more about the America through this cultural exchange.
You will start your time in France in Nice on the French Riviera with intensive language classes; one full day excursion to Saint Tropez and the opportunity to celebrate the National Holiday, Bastille Day, with annual fireworks. Classes will be held for four hours a day, three days a week at a local school. Professional and qualified instructors who are native speakers and experienced in teaching French as a second language will teach all coursework. Small classes will make this a perfect learning environment for language acquisition.
The following two weeks will be spent taking in the life of a Parisian. You will take classes in Paris four hours a day, three days Classes will remain small and taught by native French speakers with a background in teaching French as a foreign language. Included in the program will be Paris sightseeing to sites such as The Champs-Elysees, Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Jardin des Tuileries, and Cruise on the Bateaux-Mouches.
