Participants will be placed with host families within commuting distance from the host school where students will take classes.The host family environment is ideal for practicing language and learning first-hand about Chinese culture. Families take pride in sharing their daily life with American students, and in turn learning more about the America through this cultural exchange.
Classes will be held for two hours a day, five days a week at a local school. Professional and qualified instructors who are native speakers and experienced in teaching Chinese as a second language will teach all coursework. Small classes will make this a perfect learning environment for language acquisition.
As part of your program, you will experience China beyond the classroom with two scheduled excursions including a full-day visit to the Great Wall of China and an overnight trip to Xian; home of the Terracotta Warriors and Wild Goose Pagoda.
