To apply for a High School Abroad program, download the application below and complete the checklist of items. See the pop-up information for completing the form. Sections of the application to be filled out by others (i.e. Health and Recommendation forms) must be filled out by hand.

CIEE High School Abroad in Spain
If you plan to apply to High School Abroad in Spain for the academic year program, 2012-2013, please read this now!
In order to apply for an academic year student visa, you must have completed a background check. This background check is not difficult or expensive to obtain, but it can take up to four months to receive, once you have applied for it. And you must allow 6-8 weeks after receiving it for your visa process to be completed. So, please click here to access information about the background check and start now!
CIEE High School Abroad in Japan
Students applying for the High School Abroad program in Japan must fill out the following Japan-specific application. You do not need to fill out any additional applications.

Independent Travel Prior to the Start of CIEE Programs
Please be aware that the visa application process for some countries may require students to surrender their passports for several weeks prior to the start of their CIEE program. These consular requirements may impact students’ independent travel plans. Visa requirements should be investigated and considered by all applicants prior to planning independent travel. CIEE requires all students to be in possession of the proper visa documentation in order to participate in the program.
