What do we provide our Host Families? Who provides the support in the national office?

You will receive support from a CIEE Local Coordinator who lives close to your home. The Local Coordinator will interview as well as prepare you and your family before the student's arrival at the pre-arrival orientation.
Throughout the year, the Coordinators are responsible for the supervision of each of their students, including monthly contact with the students and bi-monthly home visits with the students and family, as well as continued contact with the local high school. Local Coordinators are in constant contact with the national office staff throughout the year and are invited to participate in training meetings.
Additionally, CIEE provides a full-time support team in the national office which is trained and experienced in the field of international educational exchange. CIEE Support Coordinators are responsible for helping the student, host family, and Local Coordinators resolve adjustment challenges, to answer questions and, basically, guide everyone as needed along the way. We also offer a 24h emergency line.
Applying is easy. Fill out our on-line application form and we will contact you with everything you need to get started.
