Pikim-bab (round) : Korean people usually eat it during picnic. It contains radish, ham, rice, egg, carrot, spinach, seaweed and sesame oil)
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups of rice
1/2 pound pork (ham)
1 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1 carrot and 1 radish thinly sliced
4 eggs
1 cup fresh spinach
10 full-sized sheets of seaweed
PREPARATION:
Cook rice.
Heat sesame oil in skillet. Sauté carrots in sesame oil for 5 minutes, and set aside.
Pan-fry beaten egg as if to make an omlette. Once it set at the bottom flip to the other side. Take the egg out and let it cool
Cut the egg into stripes.
Heat 4 cups of water to a boil in a pot. Cook spinach in boiling water for five minutes and rinse in cold water, drain, and squeeze spinach dry.
Place seaweed on a bamboo mat. Place a layer of rice on it and add layers of ham, carrot, radish, egg, and spinach.
Lift the end of the mat, and roll everything together so the seaweed surrounds the whole roll. Seal the roll with some water.
Gently cut the roll into one-inch slices.
