Work & Travel USA Participants

All participants on the Work & Travel USA program are university students with strong English skills who are authorized to acceptemployment in the United States for up to 4 months during the period coinciding with the summer vacation in their home country.

• The US summer season sees students arriving from Europe as well as some Asian and South American countries. These participants arrive between mid-May and early July.
• The US winter season welcomes South Americans, Australians and South Africans who arrive between mid-November and early January.
• During the spring, students from Thailand and Singapore participate on the program.

Upon expiration of their 4-month visa, students are granted a 30-day travel period by the U.S. government. Although they are no longer authorized to work, this period allows them to further explore the U.S. before they return home to resume their studies.
